I too did NOT experience the issue when "Remoted In" (meaning Microsoft Remote Desktop, or RDP, logged in as myself or the user Excel 2016 worked normally). Hitting ALT+F10 made the document appear but no where can I find what feature I'm disabling or enabling with these keys. You only know that there is data in the document because the formula bar/field shows the contents of the cell that excel opened to by default. This issue is hard to explain but Excel opens to a white screen without grid lines. I too was experiencing the Excel white screen, blanking out the data/contents in any profile on the computer not just the primary users. I've given up and moved the user back to Office 2010. I am really frustrated by this issue and other Office 2016 issues.
